As a PhD Chemist and Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Dr Mike McInnes has 30 years experience working in the coatings industry, initially with ICI, then DuPont and finally Axalta Coating Systems. Having worked in R&D, Development, Product Management and Sales, he understands the coatings business all the way through product selection and testing to application and colour harmony. He has worked with most of the European OEMs including Jaguar Land Rover, Volvo, Toyota UK and VW and specialised OEMs such as Aston Martin, McLaren and Lotus. Latterly, he was Axalta UK Refinish Technical Manager with a team of 16 Technical Service Reps supporting the Refinish industry in the UK and Ireland.
